Preparation Activities

Several steps will be taken to prepare participants about mental health youth exchange before the youth exchange begins, for example:

  • Group leaders will be actively involved in the selection of the group of participants and will participate in online sessions to interview participants and provide them with basic technical details and information. Once selected, they are required to fill out another individual application, notably indicating their dietary and other needs and leaving their emergency contacts and information.
  • Cross-cultural and language preparation: it is important to prepare participants cross-culturally so that they can communicate effectively with other participants from different cultural and language backgrounds. This is done through online sessions and online activities to learn more about other cultures.
  • Risk prevention preparation: Participants should be informed about the potential risks associated with the activities, such as the physical risks associated with using golf stick and physical activity and the precautions, they should take to avoid accidents.
  • Technical preparation: participants from the host organization participate in venue preparation and learning activities. They also assist participants from other countries in planning their trip. Group leaders and the applicant organization will assist participants with these activities.
