Follow Up Cyprus

Participants from Cyprus were from the Lyceum of Agios Antonios (5 participants) and from the area of Pissouri in Limassol. Follow-up activities were done through different ways of promoting our project from the participants from the Lyceum of Agios Antonios since they were also representatives of European programs through their school. We had a lot of different follow-up activities and also a follow up activity with our leaders, in the yearly meeting of the NGO ACPELIA on January 26, 2025, in the Multicultural Center at Pissouri village.

1st Follow-Up Activity

Participants, Theodora, Eliza, Romilia, Neophytos, Paris and Mate represented their experiences in classes of Agios Antonios at December 20, 2024. They show a presentation about the project, explaining all the days day by day, and they speak about their feelings about taking part in the project.

2nd Follow Up Activity

The second follow up activity was done in Pissouri on January 26, 2025 at the yearly meeting for the New Year of our members and formally at the beginning of our year. Erma Georgiou, Gita Vaskelyte, Apostolia, Stephani, Charalampo, Boghos Avetikian and Nikolas Nikolaou represent the project as participants, Leaders, Facilitators in the project. In the activity, there were more than 30 members of our NGO and also representatives of local authorities from Pissouri Council.

Romilia Chatzikleanthous: Participating in the Erasmus program was one of the best experiences of my life, offering not only academic and cultural growth but also deeply personal insights. Mate Vasiliadis: Being part of the Erasmus program was one of the most enriching experiences of my life. It gave me the chance to grow personally and emotionally while connecting with incredible people from diverse backgrounds. Through sports workshops, group activities, and discussions, I not only improved my physical well-being but also learned how to better manage my emotions and take care of my mental health. These sessions taught me the importance of self-awareness, resilience, and finding balance in everyday life. Meeting such inspiring individuals and sharing unforgettable moments with them made this journey truly unforgettable, leaving me with skills that will last a lifetime.

Eliza Kyriakou: Participating in an Erasmus project was a life-changing experience that broadened my horizons and helped me grow both personally and academically. The opportunity to immerse myself in a new culture allowed me to meet people from diverse backgrounds, exchange ideas, and develop a deeper understanding of global perspectives. Working collaboratively with peers on projects enhanced my teamwork and communication skills while pushing me out of my comfort zone. Exploring a new city, learning a new language, and adapting to a different educational system were both challenging and rewarding. This experience not only enriched my knowledge but also fostered lasting friendships and a renewed sense of curiosity about the world.

Neofitos Omirou: Participating in an Erasmus project was a transformative experience for me. It not only gave me the chance to meet new friends from different countries but also provided an excellent opportunity to improve my English through daily conversations and collaborative tasks. The program's activities encouraged me to stay active, from outdoor team-building exercises to exploring local landscapes through hikes and sports. This combination of cultural exchange, language practice, and physical activity made the experience both enriching and unforgettable.

Paris Savva: Through the Erasmus project, I learned valuable lessons about cultural exchange, teamwork, and personal growth. I gained a deeper understanding of diverse cultures, traditions, and perspectives, which broadened my worldview and enhanced my ability to communicate with people from different backgrounds. The project also taught me the importance of adaptability and problem-solving, as we worked collaboratively with people from various countries, overcoming challenges together. I was especially amazed at how every activity was designed to show us the direct link between sports and mental health. Whether it was team-building exercises, competitive games, or mindfulness sessions, every moment helped me understand my strengths and weaknesses better. The best part was how we all came from different countries and backgrounds, but we shared the same goal—to learn, support each other, and have fun. Boghos Avetikian: "Sporty Mental exceeded all my expectations! Before coming, I had never been part of an international youth exchange, and I was a bit nervous about meeting new people and participating in so many physical activities. However, from the very first session, I felt included, safe, and supported by the group. The combination of sports and discussions on mental health was powerful—I learned so much about how movement can help us cope with stress, anxiety, and everyday challenges. One of my favorite moments was the teamwork challenges, where we learned to trust and rely on each other, which made me feel part of a real community. This project helped me step out of my comfort zone, believe in myself, and embrace a healthier and more positive lifestyle. I now have the confidence to keep being active and to inspire others to do the same!"
